Path under BART
Berkeley has better bicycling infrastructure than most cities, but it is not perfect. This part of the Ohline Greenway path under the BART(Bay Area Rapid Transit) line is one of the less good designs in Berkeley. Also see . The path here is narrow, and the even number of bollards at its end creates a narrow center lane used by traffic in both directions. Such design details matter.

Now we can go on to look at the old way to the Berkeley Marina via the I-80 overpass on University Avenue, which presents an even stronger contrast to what has been built since.
